Issue scheduling an appointment with a client who is already in my contacts.

Hello.

 

I have a question about scheduling appointments with someone who’s already in my contact list.

Whenever I try to schedule an appointment myself with someone in my contacts, the app always asks me to enter their phone number, even though it’s already saved in their contact information.

Also, the U.S. area code is always preselected, so I have to scroll through the country codes to find my country’s flag (France).

 

A colleague who works in a nearby office doesn’t experience this issue. For him, the app automatically adds the phone number with the French country code. That seems more logical to me.

 

How can I set the French country code as the default and have the phone numbers of clients already in my contacts pre-filled when I schedule an appointment?

Thanks for reaching out to us!

The application uses the country selected in your profile as the default country code when scheduling appointments.

Could you please confirm which country is currently selected on your profile?

You can check this by following these steps:

  1. Click on your initials in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Select Profile.
  4. Check the Country field.

If it's currently set to United States, please update it to France. That should make the French country code the default when scheduling appointments.

Regarding your second question about automatically pre-filling the phone number for contacts that already have one saved, thank you for sharing this feedback. We agree that this would make the booking experience more seamless. While this isn't supported today, we can consider it for future improvements.

Thank you for your feedback and suggested solutions.

This is when I realize that I’m in a very complicated situation.
    • The “Country” field is set to “France” in my profile, yet the “United States” country code is suggested by default…
    • Regarding the auto-fill for the phone number when the professional schedules an appointment. A colleague also uses Calendly and has the phone numbers of clients already in his contact list auto-filled…

Despite this challenging situation, I’m confident we’ll find solutions.
